Ingredients
 
 

  • 8 cups day-old bread cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup butter

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
  • Cut the bread into 1-inch cubes and place it in a medium bowl.
  • In a separate large bowl, lightly beat the eggs.
  • Add the milk, cream, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon and nutmeg to the eggs and whisk until combined.
  • Pour the bread into the bowl with the egg mixture and stir gently. Allow the bread to soak in the egg mixture for 5-10 minutes.
  • Stir in half of the choc chips then transfer the pudding mixture to a 8x10 inch baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the remaining choc chips over the top of the pudding and drizzle with melted butter.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 35-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the sides of the pudding start to pull away from the baking dish.
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. If desired, top with a drizzle of bourbon vanilla sauce. Enjoy!
