Ingredients

Rice Krispie Treats

  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • teaspoon salt
  • 12 ounces mini marshmallows
  • 7 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • cups mini pretzels broken into pieces
  • 1 cup Cadbury mini eggs roughly chopped

Optional Toppings

  • Cadbury mini eggs
  • Ghirardelli vanilla melting wafers
  • Wilton candy melts
  • assorted sprinkles

Instructions

  • Prepare a 11x14-inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper or greasing it with cooking spray.
  • In a large pot, melt the butter over low heat. Reserve 1½ cups of mini marshmallows. Once the butter has melted, add a pinch of salt and the remaining mini marshmallows.
  • Stir continuously until the marshmallows are completely melted and combined with the butter.
  • Remove the pot from the heat and add the Rice Krispies cereal, mini pretzels, mini eggs, and reserved marshmallows. Stir until the add-ins are evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and use a spatula to press it down evenly.
  • Allow the treats to cool completely at room temperature or in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
  • Melt any desired toppings (Ghirardelli vanilla melting wafers, Wilton candy melts) and drizzle over the top of the treats. Sprinkle with any additional toppings (Cadbury mini eggs, sprinkles, chopped nuts) and allow to cool before serving.
  • Once cooled, remove the treats from the pan by lifting the parchment paper or using a knife to loosen the edges. Cut into desired sizes and shapes using a sharp knife or cookie cutter.
