In a large cast iron pan or oven-proof skillet, melt butter over medium heat.

Add the garlic and thyme to the vegetables and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Sprinkle the  all-purpose flour over the vegetables and stir well to coat.

Pour in white wine and chicken broth, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
