Wash and peel the carrots and cut the green tops so they're about ½-inch long. Add the carrots to a baking dish in a single layer.

Sprinkle the brown sugar, butter, maple syrup, salt, and pepper on top of the carrots. Toss the carrots well to coat them in the glaze mixture.

Bake in the oven for 15 minutes then remove the baking dish from the oven and toss the carrots again. You can use a spoon to ladle some of the glaze over the carrots.

Place the dish back in the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the carrots are tender and the glaze is bubbly and caramelized.

Remove the dish from the oven and enjoy! These carrots can be served warm or at room temperature.
