Ingredients

Crispy Tofu

  • 14 oz tofu firm or extra-firm
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Honey Garlic Sauce

  • 2 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • ½ cup broth vegetable or chicken
  • 2 teaspoon cornstarch

Other

  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 7 oz udon

Instructions

  • Press the tofu for at least 30 minutes to remove some of the water.
  • Cut the tofu it into 1-inch cubes and place it into a large bowl. Add the oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch to the bowl and toss to coat the tofu.
  • Place the tofu in a single layer in an air fryer and cook at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes, turning the tofu at least once.
  • While the tofu is cooking, stir-fry the broccoli in a wok or cast iron pan over high heat until cooked through. Once the broccoli is cooked, remove from the pan and set aside.
  • To prepare the sauce, add the sesame oil and garlic to a small saucepan and saute the garlic until fragrant.
  • Add the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and broth and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • Mix the cornstarch with a small amount of water to make a slurry and add this to the sauce. Continue stirring over low heat until the sauce has thickened.
  • While the sauce is simmering, prepare the noodles according to the package instructions.
  • Once the sauce has thickened and the noodles have been prepared, add the broccoli, noodles, and sauce back into the wok or cast iron pan and mix to coat the broccoli and noodles in the sauce.
  • Serve, garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, and enjoy!

Notes

If you don’t have an air fryer, you can either pan fry the tofu over medium-high heat until golden brown or bake it in the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 to 30 minutes.
